The Endorfin on Billfish Conservation
The owner and crew of the EndorFin are completely dedicated to the preservation of the billfish species which is why we only use circle hooks when we are targeting sailfish and Marlin. with natural baits. It has been proven that the use of circle hooks greatly reduces the, mortality rate during catch and release. This technique is becoming more widely adopted and is now required at all sanctioned billfish release tournaments. It is our belief that the use of circle hooks has directly resulted in the improvement in the billfish catches that we have experienced in recent years. If you are unfamiliar with the technique for hooking billfish with circle hooks, which is completely different than J hooks, Captain Jim and his crew will be happy to demonstrate. We want our grandchildren to have as much fun catching these fish as we have had.   Released Marlin
